Having finished T6, the Brave Companions opted to go back to AQ40 for some unfinished business. Viscidus and C'thun were downed on 5/6/2008 and BC has now fully cleared AQ40.

With an incredible learning effort of only ~14 hours invested, the Brave Companions have downed Kael'thas. We have now completed T5 raiding content and are moving right along into T6.

We're finally able to make an update to the main page! With that capability, it is due time to post our xpac accomplishments with pics of KZ, High King Maulgar, and Gruul, all from weeks ago. Last cycle actually represented our 8th High King and 5th Gruul defeat, and we are now successfully running 3 KZ's as we awaited the latest patch.

The Brave Companions downed Anub'Rekhan today in our first week fo Naxx. Two vists, a couple dozen wipes, and continual progress each run lead to his downfall. A Frost resist necklace, caster bracers, and our first Splinter were the rewards.

A bit overdue, but better late than never. Four more bosses are down in AQ40 - Trio, Sartura, Fankriss, and Huhuran. The Trio gave us a hassle and we were slow transitioning into AQ40, but they went down just the same. Sartura took a couple visits, but one shots are now in order. Fankriss and Huhuran were downed this past Monday for the first time in the same visit.

This news is overdue, but still exciting. The Brave Companions downed Skeram. Two AQ40 visits and about a half dozen attempts were needed. AQ40 is officially underway for us.

After getting a serious attempt on Broodlord (he would have likely fallen last week if not for an instance gate bug), we were able to one shot him on our last visit. In addition, the Brave Companions are strong in AQ20 having downed all bosses, except for Ossarian, who will fall shortly.

Thanks to Sinister, Draka's AQ gates were opened. We spent some time on the bug invasion and were the only guild willing to put the time in to take down a Colossus. Ashi was our chosen target.

A stellar effort saw us downing Ragnaros and completing Molten Core. The kill was made with a group of 38. It was the first attempt on our third visit to Ragnaros. The former visits were moreso short ones aimed at getting folks a basic feel for the encounter. Huge congrats to everyone that attended.

Before a scheduled Onxyia run on 4/30, we stumbled across Azuregos. This was the first time many of our members had faced him; however, we pulled out a solid rush at the end to defeat him on our first attempt. With any luck catching spawns, we will be taking more world bosses in the weeks ahead.

Sunday 4/23 we gathered for our 2nd MC run. A few hours later, Domo fell to us on our 2nd attempt. Later that evening in our first visit to Onxyia's Lair, the big dragon also fell in defeat after 5 attempts by a group of 33. Big grats to all. Ragnaros awaits...

Our second run in ZG had us taking Jeklik, Venoxis, and Bloodlord with relative ease. We also downed Mar'li for the first time after spending time previously learning her encounter. Very noteworthy was our kill was made without a single death in the raid. In this same instance, we also downed Arlokk on our first encounter with her on our 3rd attempt.

On our first guild visit to Zul'Gurub, the Brave Companions took down three of the named bosses - High Priestess Jeklik, High Priest Venoxis, and Bloodlord Mandokir. Time was the only limiting factor in us pushing forward for the run. A big grats to those that went for the excellent team effort! Taking Venoxis down on our first attempt and the very difficult Bloodlord on the 5th is quite an accomplishment.

Monday night, February 13th, 25+ of our members gathered to do battle with Omen. We hoped for support from others on the server, but we were left to battle alone. We persevered however and did what should have been impossible. We defeated Omen, a level 60+ 40 man raid boss, with a team of 30 people mostly under level 50. Thanks and a big congrats to everyone that came.

| On Sunday, January 29th, a signficant amount of our membership gathered in IF and made our way to Goldshire, Kharanos, and Dolanaar to pass out quantities of bags, potions, and gear to new players. It was a great success and drew large numbers of low level players. Other guilds on the server have already emulated our idea and run their own events. Thanks to all that attended. We will look to do this again in the future. |
